MTU Email Settings

Configuring > VersaMail

VersaMail (for Palm Treo 650 or similar Smartphone)

Select Accounts -> Account Setup

Now fill out all the following details:

Account Name: Use any phrase, perhaps "MTU".
Mail Service: Other
Protocol: IMAP
Username: pjsmith (your own user name)
Password: your password
Email Address: pjsmith@mtu.edu (your own email address)
Incoming Mail Server: email.mtu.edu
Outgoing Mail Server: email.mtu.edu

Now pick Advanced and fill out all the following details:

Incoming Server Settings:
Check the box: Use Secure Connection (SSL)
Port Number: 993

Outgoing Server Settings:
Port Number: 2525
Check the box: Use Secure Connection (SSL)
Check the box: Use authentication
Username: pjsmith (your user name)
Password: your password

Pick Done.
