Spam Protection at MTU

On May 23, 2007, Michigan Tech implemented Ironport appliances to block spam and reduce inbox clutter for all faculty, staff and students. Messages from sources consider spam sending hosts are not accepted. All other messages are analyzed and if probably spam, will be quarantined. You will get daily list of possible spam.

Our previous spam system allowed you to set up personal white lists and black lists. The new system does not provide this feature nor will it be as likely to be needed. The new system rarely blocks wanted messages. More information
